That's a great question. If Jesus didn't raise from the dead, Christianity is pointless (1 Cor. 15:17). If Jesus did raise from the dead, that means he is Lord (Eph. 1:20-21). So, this is a very important question. We don't passively look at the resurrection as a Christian belief to be received or rejected. It matters whether it actually happened or not. We are responding to a historical fact, not a fairy tale. We either dismiss the resurrection as Christian myth, or we submit to the God who conquered death to save us.
This Sunday is Easter, or more precisely, Resurrection Sunday. It is the day we celebrate that Jesus conquered death and all that his resurrection means for us today. Join us as we ask and seek to answer some important questions about this historical event:
1. Did Jesus really raise from the dead? How can I know?
2. How does the resurrection affect me?
3. How should we react if Jesus really did raise?
"But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead..." (1 Cor. 15:20)
